Simply Green Biofuels Receives National Honor

Friday, December 4th, 2009

In the spirit of celebrating great work by New Hampshire companies, I would like to share the following press release from Simply Green Biofuels who just made the “100 Hottest Companies in Bioenergy” list compiled by Biofuels Digest. It’s nice to see one of our Greenerpalooza participants honored for their many accomplishments. Great job Simply Green!!!

Simply Green Biofuels Makes Top 100 List

(Portsmouth, NH)- Simply Green Biofuels was named to the “100 Hottest Companies in Bioenergy” by Biofuels Digest– a worldwide, highly respected, industry e-publication.  This is the second year in a row that the publication has tipped its hat to Simply Green.

simply-greenThe competition for the award was extremely stiff this year.  Jim Lane, Editor of Biofuels Digest explains, “Making the top 100 two years in a row – out of 1400+ eligible companies, confirms that Simply Green has assembled both the visibility and the credibility to count itself among bioenergy’s elite.”

To be eligible for the award companies had to appear at least once in the Daily Biofuels News Digest in 2009 or receive a write-in nomination from a Digest reader during the nomination period.  Simply Green received write-in nominations and appeared in Daily Biofuels News Digest four times in 2009.

According to Andrew Kellar, Founder of Simply Green, “When you start seeing large companies like Exxon Mobil and BP inching their ways into the bio world, you wonder if accolades will still be awarded to the smaller companies who have been in the industry longer.  We are thrilled that Biofuels Digest has once again acknowledged our work and continues to support the ‘little guys’ too.”

Simply Green Biofuels was founded in November 2006 with the intention of offering green alternatives to home heating, diesel and marine fuel throughout the Seacoast.  Simply Green’s  Biofuels Station and Congreenience Store located at 547 Central Avenue in Dover recently celebrated its first anniversary.

Biofuels are a cleaner-burning mix of traditional petroleum based fuel and a renewable feedstock resource; Simply Green’s is made from locally sourced Waste Vegetable Oil (WVO).  Blends are available from 5% up to 100% pure Biofuel.  No system modifications are needed to run up to a 20% (B20) blend.
