Governor John Lynch congratulated Beckwood Services, Inc. today for earning the Raytheon Five Star Supplier Excellence Award at a recent ceremony held at the Wyndham Hotel in Andover, MA.
“I want to congratulate Beckwood Services for this achievement, which recognizes the hard work of the men and women that make this such a great company,” Governor Lynch said. “Beckwood is one of many New Hampshire companies that supply the defense industry, and we are proud of all they do.”
Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems recognizes its suppliers based on three important factors: on-time delivery measures, sustained performance on quality and commitment to continuous process and quality improvement. Out of its thousands of suppliers, Raytheon for 2010 recognized about 200 three and four star suppliers but only 14 five star suppliers, the highest award level.
“This affirmation of Beckwood’s efforts in continuously improving its leading edge world class manufacturing operation in Plaistow is very much appreciated and is an important recognition of the efforts and skills of our people,” said Beckwood Services President Peter Alcock.
“Our products and services provide the most advanced level of technological integrity for Patriot Missile Fire Control System components. Ultimately, these components will help protect the brave men and women of the United States military,” Alcock added.
Beckwood Services’ role in the Patriot Air and Missile Defense System program dates back to February 2010 when Beckwood received its first contract from Raytheon’s Integrated Defense Systems to provide mission-critical components and sub-assemblies for Patriot Missile Fire Control Systems.
