I know that this is late notice, but trust me, this is information that is of great value to your organization. Have you ever pondered the expression “doing well by doing good?” Well, there’s a New Hampshire business organization that specializes in proactively adopting socially responsible business practices, recognizing that people, principles and profits are inseparably linked.
Tonight, you can learn more about New Hampshire Businesses for Social Responsibility (NHBSR), a non-profit organization that truly recognizes the integral link between social responsibility and the bottom line. Now more than ever, corporate social responsibility is not only a great idea, it is necessary for ongoing business growth. The Organization of American States recently held its XVII Policy Roundtable and concluded that “corporate social responsibility is inherent to an individual’s responsibility as a citizen, but also makes sound business sense since those businesses that fail to pay attention to the social and environmental realities of their consumers run the risk of becoming irrelevant.”
At tonight’s NHBSR 2009 Annual Member Appreciation Social taking place from 5-8 p.m. at Wiggin & Nourie (670 North Commercial Street, Suite 305) in Manchester, over 100 business professionals will join together for an evening of education, networking and promotional opportunities. NH Public Television President & CEO Peter A. Frid will give an overview of NHPTV’s new “Planet Granite” initiative (http://www.nhptv.org/planetgranite/watch.asp), NHBSR’s 2010 Webinar Series will be unveiled and a great round of speed networking will take place. In addition, attendees will be able to enjoy complimentary New Hampshire brewed beer and take part in raffles for prizes ranging from box seats to Manchester Monarchs games to multiple overnight stays at venues ranging from the Attitash Grand Summit Hotel to the Eagle Mountain House & Golf Club and Graylag’s Bower Cabin.
To register, contact NHBSR Program Director Kate Luczko at 391-7437 or kate@nhbsr.org. Don’t miss this opportunity!
